On Saturday March 21, 2009 the V-Twin Cruisers Motorcycle Club of N.E. Ohio hosted a benefit spaghetti dinner at the Players Club, Lost Nation Sports Park in Willoughby, Ohio for the Ashley Family. The event had a great turn out of friends, area residents, and members of the V-Twin Cruisers Motorcycle Club who wanted to show their support for the Ashley family. Many bands such as Road Rash, Jubilant Fluids, and Jimmy Black and friends donated their time to help make the event a big success. During these truobled times when many people don't know where their next dollar is coming from or whether they will have a job tommorow they banded together to help a good cause. On an early Monday morning, January 12, 2009 Sherrill Ashley 36 years old and the mother of three children was doing what she always does, helping people. As she grabbed a gas can to fill her garden tractor so she could plow snow from neighbor's sidewalks, the gasoline can ignited, catching the garage on fire and trapping her inside and killing her. Sherrill Ashley was a beautiful, selfless and giving person and mother who lived for everyone around her and not at all for herself. Sherrill leaves behind her husband Bob and three children Michael, Rachael, and Alex. V-Twin Cruisers M/C would like to thank everyone who came out to support the benefit that raised almost $2,000.00 for the family. |
